Book Review – Kids’ Knitting Workshop

15/10/2016

I first heard about Susan B. Anderson’s Kids’ Knitting Workshop at the start of the on the Curious Handmade Podcast. After a number of failed attempts to get Saoirse, my 8 year old daughter, knitting I decided to buy the book and give it a final go About Susan B. Anderson Susan B. The darker shades of the @schoppelwolle Zauberball are getting a bit lost at the end but still loving how this is turning out. There's the slightest chance it might even be ready for christmas! #stonecropsweater #andreamowry #irishknitter #igknitters #everydayknitter #strandedcolourwork #textureandcolour #colourworkknitting #sweaterknitting #croppedsweater #schopplewolle #zauberball
You know when you spot a mistake in your knitting but just keep motoring on only to decide 4 inches later that you can't live with it? Yup. Back on track with no wayward bobbles this time. #frogit #andreamowry #stonecropsweater #irishknitter #sweaterknitting #croppedsweater #colourworkknitting #texturedknitting #textureandcolour #100percentwool #schoppelwolle #igknitters
My #fibreshare2019 parcel arrived today from Switerland from @skillfullytangled. I'm in love with them all. The colours, fibres and extra bits couldn't be more perfect ❤ thank you so much! #yarnaddict #yarntreats #knittingcommunity #commuknitty #knittersofinstagram #knittersoftheworld
There's been a lot of sample knitting and a little bit of gift knitting on the go lately so personal projects were on hold for a while. They're all done and dusted now though so it's time to pick back up my #stonecropsweater and resume posting pictures of my knitting. Yay! #andreamowry #knittersofinstagram #sweaterknitting #sampleknitter #chillouttime #lookatalltheprettycolours
Could think of worse things to be doing. A lot of my weekends lately seem to be focused on taking time to stop. It's too easy to just keep going until the burnout hits but I've learned the value of stepping back a little more frequently to try maintain some balance instead of waiting until I just can't go anymore. (Knitting hidden in my project bag from @caithnesscraft as it's another tip top secret sample knit) #daysofsimpleandslow #slowdownsaturday #irishknitter #knittersofinstagram #warmandcozy #findingbalance #knitstagram #coffebreak #coffeeandknitting
Back from a very brief but wonderful visit to Donegal with @otterbankbrewingcompany spinning around in the camper. Checked out the new brewery, got to visit @visitwildireland (highly recommend) and be reminded of how shit my Irish is in Gweedore while having some seriously tasty pints of Guinness. Can't wait to get back up there for more adventures ❤ #minitrip #weekendwhereabouts #donegal #wildireland #campervan #microbrewery #otterbankbrewing
