Have Yourself a Handmade Christmas Part 1: Amazon Handmade Artisans Network

It’s time for the first of my Handmade Christmas Gift Guides (you can find out a little more about why I’m doing these here)! I’m going to start with my newest handmade community, the Amazon Handmade Artisans Network. This wonderful group of artisans started up earlier this year when news of the Handmade at Amazon marketplace first started to come out. The marketplace launched in October (you can check out my shop here!) and the whole way leading up to the launch and afterwards, this group has been an invaluable resource in getting my own, and other members, shops up and running. So, in no particular order, I give you my top picks for Christmas Gifts from the Amazon Handmade Artisans Network!

These bangles in particular made me fall in love! They take several days to make and each one is a unique piece of wearable art. With a starting price of $29.99, they would really make a wonderful gift for someone who loves adding a splash of colour to their outfit with something unique and beautiful. Weekly List Planner / 12 months – Dotted Damask by Write It Down Books. Photo from amazon.com. $40

Write It Down Books

I recently bought myself a Filofax and have been converted back to the paper planner. Technology just doesn’t cut it (and pulling out a Filofax makes me look really professional and important and stuff). So I’m gonna try to push a bit of retro organisation on you with this one, instead of “there’s an app for that”, I give you “there’s a handmade for that” (OK, need to work on that a bit). Write It Down Books is a Minnesota based shop who designs and makes custom personal planners. There’s a huge variety of designs available and she can even do custom cover designs. These planners are perfect gifts for the organised loved one, or for the loved one in desperate need of getting organised! (I’m actually kinda gutted that I already bought a planner)
